about us

Started in August of 1996, Harford Vista! is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a local online service to the citizens of Harford County, Maryland.
After years of steady growth, Harford Vista! has become the number one local Internet portal in the county. Located in the Baltimore Metro Area, Harford Vista! is a division of Computer Technology Associates, an Internet consultant, Web presence provider and e-commerce enabler that targets the SMB market in the mid-Atlantic region.
What began ten years ago as a few links to local Web sites has grown over the years to over 750 community links in 16 categories, editorial content pages for each of the major towns in the county, and columns by local writers. Our goal is to remain and grow as the leader in the local portal space through information, communication and online services. We hope to influence for the better how the citizens of the county see and respond to their community, and add to the richness of their lives here.
Harford Vista! is a directory. Every link listed in our category pages is visited by a real person and categorized according to our criteria for inclusion. The description of a Web site is for the most part taken directly from the site's own editorial content, minus the flowery adjectives. This lets the sites speak for themselves. We do make an occasional editorial comment or adjustment when it seems necessary.
In the next 12 months, we project that over 115,000 unique visitors will make over 280,000 visits, download nearly 548,000 page views and click through our links to over 105,000 local web sites. We want to thank our many regular local visitors for their vote of confidence. We depend on your feedback. It shapes this site more than you will ever know.
